About Dioskouri Hotel

Dioskouri Hotel is located just in the entrance of “Vathi” village in Ithaca, at a 15-minutes walk from the harbor of Ithaki. It povides accommodation with air-conditioning, and a private balcony with sea view in each room; it also has an outdoor pool. Fitted with a balcony, the accommodations offer air conditioning and feature a TV and a private bathroom with bath or shower. Some units also have a kitchenette equipped with a fridge. Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service (extra charge) are available, on request, for our guests. Popular points of interest near Dioskouri II include the “Dexa” beach, the Navy - Folklore Museum of Ithaca and the Archaeological Museum of Vathi. About Vathi Village

The harbor of Vathi is considered one of the safest natural harbors in Greece. It is in the center of a very closed bay, which is surrounded by the highest mountain of Ithaca, Mount Nirito. It serves the boat connection of Ithaca with Patra and Killini. The pier of the harbor at Vathi is very close to the main square of the village and to the surrounding narrow streets which make up the market center of Ithaca. Tourist accommodations and services are available here, and are easily accessible. The beach restaurants are right next to the harbor, and you can very easily reach them on foot.

The small islet of Lazaretto, which was previously used as a quarantine station, is located in the middle of the harbor of Vathi. The landscape is picturesque, with the red roofs of the houses standing out amidst the lush nature which comes all the way down to the sea.

The harbor of Vathi has regular ferry connections. During the summer, it is filled with boats, sailboats and cruisers from all over the world, which find refuge here and enjoy the natural picturesque beauty of Vathi.
